Program description

Robert Tan, an individual (sole proprietor), operates a personal AI assistant called Song-Jiang. The assistant sends text messages from +1 (949) 822-8411, carried by Twilio, to people who have opted in. The messages are account notifications and conversational messages:

• Reminders and calendar alerts you asked the assistant to send.
• Updates on tasks and messages the assistant is handling for you.
• Replies to text messages you send to the number.

The program contains no marketing or promotional content and is not offered to the general public: subscribers are the account owner and people he knows personally who have opted in.

How to opt in

You will receive this confirmation:

Robert Tan (Song-Jiang assistant): You are subscribed to assistant notifications and replies. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.

Texting START is the only way to opt in. There is no web form, and phone numbers are not collected from any other source. Because this is a private assistant, the operator confirms each new subscriber before the assistant begins replying to that phone: after your first message you also receive a short automated message containing a pairing code, which the operator uses to approve your number. Until it is approved you receive no further messages.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on what you ask the assistant to do. On a typical day a subscriber receives a few messages, and on many days none.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard rates apply to messages sent and received. Robert Tan does not charge for the program.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages:

Robert Tan (Song-Jiang assistant): You are unsubscribed and will receive no further messages. Reply START to resubscribe.

CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, STOPALL, REVOKE and OPTOUT also work. To rejoin, text START again.

Privacy

Your mobile number, the date and time you opted in, the messages you send and receive, and delivery metadata are used only to deliver this program and reply to you. Mobile information and messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties; Twilio, the messaging provider, processes them solely to deliver the messages. Eligibility and conduct

You must be 18 or older and be the holder of, or have permission to use, the mobile number you opt in with. Do not send the assistant anything you would not want stored or read by Robert Tan. Messages you send are read by the assistant and may be read by Robert.

Carriers and availability

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your network operator. The program is provided as is, without warranty, and may be changed, suspended or discontinued at any time; these terms may be updated by posting a new version on this page.
